"John Kasaija is an experienced Ugandan journalist, community mobilizer, educator, and civil society leader with over two decades of experience in communication, community development, child protection, civic engagement, and social mobilization."

He holds a Diploma in Journalism from Uganda Rural Development and Training Institute (URDTI) and has undertaken additional professional training in Global Education at Makerere University, community mobilization, fundraising, child protection, HIV/AIDS programming, and facilitation.

Throughout his career, John has worked with several institutions and initiatives including Radio Maria Uganda, Hoima Catholic Diocese, Uganda Joint Christian Council, URDT Human Rights Office, and European Union-supported election activities. He currently serves as Executive Director of St Veronica Community School and BUKIYOG, while also holding leadership and governance roles in multiple community and educational institutions.

John is an active civic leader and currently serves as a Board Member of Kitara Civil Society Organizations Network (KCSON) and Rural Smiles Foundation. He has also served as Chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association and Board Member at Buyanja Secondary School, Board Member at Kinyarugonjo Children’s Home, and Board Member of St. Kirigwaijjo Secondary School under Hoima Catholic Diocese.

He possesses strong skills in communication, public speaking, conflict resolution, community facilitation, interpretation, ICT usage, mentorship, and community education. John is passionate about empowering children and communities through education, guidance, and social transformation initiatives.
